Our Mission & Vision

Our vision and mission are to help people walk as Jesus did

The Apostolic Center is a multipurpose, teaching and equipping center patterned after the example of Jesus Christ who gathered people around him (and called them disciples). His purpose was that he might communicate the understanding of the kingdom, teach them his ways and send them forth to continue his ministry of teaching and equipping those who would believe in him after he left.

WHAT IS APOSTOLIC CHRISTIANITY?

The word Apostolic is a derivative of the word Apostolos, from which the word apostle is gotten. The Apostle is one who is sent, a special message, a person with a commission, a sent one.

Have you noticed that Jesus continually emphasized that he was sent, sent by God the Father as his apostle to this earth? He was and is the first and chief apostle.

Apostolic actually describes the relationship or spirit between the One who is sent and the one who sends him.

It shows that the one who is sent is functioning under the direction, authority, and boundaries given to him by the One who sent him

The relationship between Jesus and the Father was apostolic because Jesus said so himself.

He said I can do nothing of myself

I came to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work

The relationship between Jesus and his Church must also be apostolic because he said

As the father has sent me so I send you

Of course, you remember where he said

Go into all the world…

That language is a sending forth.

Once the Church loses sight of this vision it becomes a vagabond Church and is in need of repentance and returning.

Our commission is to call believers back to this place; this is the healing of the Church.

How does this work?

The pattern is simple, those that Jesus trained and sent out as apostles, trained others in what they had been taught, and this continued down the line until satan broke through at some point and the Church lost that vision and slipped into the dark ages, dominated by religion and false Christianity.

The reformation under Martin Luther in 1517 was the beginning of the return of the Church to biblical or authentic Christianity, the present apostolic/prophetic reformation is the final missing step in the return of the Church to authentic or biblical Christianity.

It has taken the Lord over 500 years to bring us full circle to this point, the question everyone must answer for himself is whether he or she is willing to make this connection.

One of the principles of divine judgment is that everyone will be judged according to the light they have or what was made available to them.

This generation has this light available to it, and with this light has come greater resources, greater potential, greater responsibilities, and with it greater judgment.

Mission & Purpose

Read the instructions of Jesus again to the first disciples, the only people who knew him bodily, who had the closes opportunity to understand his mind and purposes.

He said go and make disciples of all nations, did you see that he was asking them to do with others what he had done with them? He made them disciples, now he was asking them to do same for all nations.

Now you understand what Paul said to Timothy

You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also

2 Tim 2:1-2

Now just so that the disciples may be clear as to how to go about this, he tells them

  1. Make disciples,
  2. Baptize people
  3. Teach them to observe or keep everything I have instructed you
  4. You will not be alone

And in order to emphasize how long this would last, he said, ‘till the end of this age’ meaning  the age of the Church dispensation.

So it is clear that Jesus had in mind that the apostles would do what Paul commanded Timothy to do.

They were to teach only what he taught them, not what they felt or any kind of ‘revelation’ they picked up for themselves.

The question is, has the Church stuck to this pattern or not?

What has been the result of our inability to build according to the pattern that the Lord laid down before he went to glory?

How can we correct this?

This is what the apostolic center is designed to correct by the grace of God

To build up a community of faithful people grounded in the teachings of the Lord Jesus, equipped by the Spirit and word and committed to following Jesus in spirit and truth wherever they maybe.

Just like Jesus taught and equipped his disciples to be and do as he was and did, so believers today must begin to learn to follow the Lord in such a way that they can be taught the things that truly matter, the things that will enable them to indeed rise and shine in the darkness that is rising over the earth.

We believe for these kinds of communities or fellowships springing up all over the world, faithful men teaching others, and doing the works of Jesus Christ. Kingdom-minded citizens, sons of the last Adam bringing glory to God through Jesus Christ.

Our Beliefs & Values

We believe

1. In the inerrancy and completeness of scriptures, we confess that it is the divinely inspired word of God divided into two broad sections, the Old Testament and the New Testament and made up of 66 books and given to the world as a guide to faith, the rule for living and revelation of God and his grand plan for humanity

2. That the New Testament in particular is given to the Church, to reveal her covenant in Christ, her glorious inheritance in Him, and the glory that is to come.

3. In one unique, divine essence which is called and is truly God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, and having precisely the same divine attributes and perfection as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

Repentance and Faith

4. In the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ as prophesied and revealed in the Scriptures.

5. In the atoning death of our Lord Jesus Christ for our sins.

6. In His literal resurrection from the dead and ascension where he is seated at the right hand of God.

7. In a personal salvation from sin through confessed faith in Christ Jesus and a subsequent deliverance from the power of sin, satan and sickness.

Baptisms and Power

8. In the ordinance of Baptism as a confession of our union with Christ in his death, burial, and resurrection

9. In a personal indwelling of the Holy Spirit who is the seal and proof of our salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

10. In Divine healing based on the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ and ministered by faith in the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit through the body of Christ and the various ministries the Lord has given for that purpose.

11. A baptism of the Holy Spirit, the endowment of power from on high marked with the supernatural experiences of diverse tongues and or prophetic utterances.

12. That every believer may partake through faith the gifts of the Holy Spirit to minister God’s grace to the needy as the Spirit wills.

13. And confess that Jesus is the Lord and Head of the New Testament Church, begotten through faith in Him and heirs of the kingdom of God.

14. That all believers in Christ Jesus are called to a life of holiness, love, and faith without which none may partake of Christ and His Kingdom.

Service & Holiness

15. And hold that all members of the body of Jesus Christ are equal in him irrespective of gender, race, and social status, and standing having been equally redeemed by the sacrifice of the cross. We also affirm that all members of the body of Christ partake in his ministry to the world in continuation of his saving work on the earth.

16. In the five-fold office or ascension gifts as ministers of Christ and is called to equip His people to do the work of the ministry and build up His body. We hold that no one can take upon himself that work unless one is called by the Lord.

17. A literal second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead as taught by the Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Apostles.

18. An eternal judgment of all for the works done in the flesh at the Great White throne Judgment.

19. A literal heaven and hell as revealed by the Lord Jesus Christ

What is the Church?

The Church is the light of this world, God’s house built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone

“We believe for these kinds of communities or fellowships springing up all over the world, faithful men teaching others, and doing the works of Jesus Christ. Kingdom-minded citizens, sons of the last Adam bringing glory to God through Jesus Christ. “
